Would you scan your face to get your photos?

Genuine question, not a poll for a launch.

Event photo tools are all converging on the same flow: the photographer uploads the gallery, you take one selfie, and you get back the photos you're in. It works well. The trade is that you scan your face to get it.

I've been building on the assumption that the trade is fine if the handling is honest selfie discarded immediately after matching, only an anonymous signature kept, everything destroyed when the event ends. But that's one person's instinct, and I'd rather find out now than after.

So where do you actually draw the line? Is it about what gets stored, who's storing it, how long it lives or is a face scan a no regardless of the answers?

Fotonest - Guests find their own event photos with one selfie

Event photographers upload 2,000 photos, then lose a week sorting and sending them one by one. FotoNest ends that. Upload the gallery once; each guest opens the event from a link or QR, scans their face, and gets only the photos they're in — full resolution, usually within seconds. 99.8% match accuracy. Selfies are never stored: just an anonymous signature, discarded after matching. Events: public, PIN-locked, or matches-only. One-time from $3 an event, no subscription. Free demo, no card.
