How do you currently monitor what your competitors are doing — and does it actually work?

Genuinely curious how founders and marketers here handle competitor monitoring.

Most people I talk to say one of three things:
"We use SEMrush" (keywords only, misses website changes)
"We check manually" (inconsistent, falls apart when busy)
"We don't really" (honest answer)
