The in-place editing is genuinely unique. Without it, the workflow is painfully long: select text → copy → open ChatGPT → paste → explain what to rewrite (tone, style, constraints) → wait → copy the result → go back → paste again. Typeless collapses all of that into a single, fluid step. That difference really matters in real-world writing.
