About
I'm Sophia, a solo founder in the GCC. I wrote learning materials for primary schools, studied game design at Uppsala University, and grew up at a teacher's dining table covered in marking. I'm building Qalami, which marks handwritten student writing in Arabic and English against the teacher's own rubric, with the teacher approving every mark. My goal for the next year is to get it into bilingual schools across the Gulf, where most writing is still done by hand and often in Arabic. Always happy to talk to teachers, and to anyone building for schools.
