@acondurache, let's not be too hard on @xenios. Personally, I think it's a fascinating experience, a very logical step after Hourlies and I wish the PPH team a lot of success with it.

I find it hard to relate to this service. Since when is receiving & sending a lot of email a good thing? And the response rate is incredibly tied to the type of emails you get (most emails don't require a response, when you're cc'ed it's typically FYI, you get a lot of automatically generated reports, etc...). Seems a bit like Xobni at the beginning. Yes, you can pull lots of metrics. But...

How is this different from Plastic Jungle?

Also, in addition to the examples of local work marketplaces everyone always thinks about (TaskRabbit, Postmates, etc), you might want to look at WorkMarket and OnForce. While they're focused more on traditional staffing jobs rather than developers, my guess is that there are similarities for you to think about...

FWIW (I know the space a little bit), I think you're really on to something. And given that disintermediation is much more problematic for local marketplaces than for remote marketplaces, I think you're completely right to go for a SaaS model rather than a commission model. Well done!
