@staringispolite it is inspired by Popcorn Time but tvOS doesn't support web view :( for now, siongTime(i love the name :) requires a server backend to process the torrents for it to work on the Apple TV. btw, are you changing your username to @heartingispolite?

I hacked on this over the weekend to see how feasible it is to create a torrent streaming app on tvOS. I ended up using a server backend to support the streaming for the tvOS app. p/s: My roommates insist that I need to use the name "siongTime".

since the tagline doesn't allow me to describe more about the reason why i create this, i will just write it down here. the idea is actually from a friend of mine @dwr. if you remember the early day of turntable fm, it was pretty awesome that we could talk music with others who were in the same room LIVE. with this bot, it will pipe in the current playing beats 1 song live (only the metadata)...

it is crazy how easy to write a desktop client that is compatible on linux, mac and windows with node-webkit now. first, popcorn time and now this. :)

It is a really simple product with only web presence and without any mobile presence yet it is one of the fastest growing companies of YC. Is mobile presence really necessary for growth?
