We recently migrated all of our maintenance customers over from another popular platform because of the growth and focus that the Modular DS team has on improving their platform to lead the market in features and functionality.
What needs improvement
So far, Modular has everything that we needed to manage our growing list of WordPress websites. The one area that could continue to improve is the way that backups and restores are handled. They're currently pretty intensive to get set up and running properly when compared to the platform we left.
vs Alternatives
We've been in this business for several years now and have used a platform that used to be great until it was purchased by an industry giant who stopped improving the platform and sat by while the market continued to grow. We loved the idea of supporting another small business that was actively working to make the best monitoring and maintenance platform out there and believe that working together we can provide the best services to our customers.
Can I selectively exclude plugins or themes from updates?
Yes, as this is a fundamental need when running WordPress maintenance.
