I built Scale Study because scales felt boring, and I was never sure how accurate my playing really was. I worried that if I practised them incorrectly for long enough, I would just ingrain the mistakes.
Scale Study helps you keep an honest record of your practice. You can log your tempo for each scale and see how it improves over time. It makes progress visible and shows you which scales still need attention.

Value Study is a small, focused app for artists who want to see light and shadow more clearly.
It began as a simple way to make value studies easier and is now used by thousands of artists on iOS, Android, and macOS.
As of January 2026, the Android version is fully stable alongside the long-running iOS app.
The new website offers guides and reference material to support learning. The next step is working with schools and art teachers to bring value study in more classrooms.

I was a beta tester for this product, I've not yet used in anger due to a lot of my work being on Windows at the moment but for a beta version of a product I was incredibly impressed with the quality!
