I really like solving niche problems that provide tangible impact and I enjoy diving in deep on projects, whether I know a lot or a little about them. Academically, I've got a deep and formal understanding of computer science, electrical engineering, biology, biophysics, protein folding, and single-molecule techniques. And outside of academia, my learning continues-- whether I'm at work or at home -- and I'm always learning and teaching myself new things. I have developed over a thousand of open-source software projects, used by millions of people around the world. And, during COVID I've learned how to juggle and throw ceramic pots, and I got particularly interested in designing software to be used in musical ecosystems.
