AnswerGate is an API that evaluates retrieved context and decides whether a question can be safely answered, blocking hallucinations, partial answers, and unsafe responses before they reach users.
It sits between retrieval and generation and answers one question only:
“Is the provided context sufficient and safe to answer this question?”
If yes → allow generation
If no → block and explain why
It never generates answers.
It only decides whether an answer should exist.
