I wanted to write you a proper thank-you for creating such a smart and genuinely impactful app.
AppHalt has massively improved my day-to-day workflow. I’m often switching between multiple apps, and before this, I had no real control over background resource hogs silently eating up RAM and draining my battery. It felt like my Mac was working harder than it needed to, especially when I just wanted to focus on one or two apps at a time.
Now, with AppHalt, I can literally pause the noise. Whether it’s a heavy browser window or a memory-hungry tool I’m not using at the moment, I can halt it temporarily and my system breathes easier. I’ve noticed smoother performance, and better battery life. Honestly, the peace of mind alone is worth it.
It’s such a simple concept, but the execution is what blew me away. You’ve made something that feels like it should’ve been built into macOS all along and you’ve done it cleanly, reliably, and with real care for user control.
Keep going strong, this app has serious potential to become an essential tool for power users, students, creatives, and anyone who values control over their system performance. I’m excited to see how it evolves.

Saw this post on Reddit and had to check it out.. and honestly, Recento feels like one of those small but brilliant utilities that instantly levels up the macOS experience. It takes something as basic as recent files and actually makes it useful, elegant, and fast. No more digging through Finder or trying to remember where something got saved. Recento just brings everything together in a clean, accessible way.
It’s one of those apps that makes you think, “Why isn’t this just built into macOS already?” Super promising start, and definitely a quality-of-life boost I didn’t know I needed. Best wishes on the launch!
