How is this any different from Google Calendar? Based on the information I'm seeing on the site I'm not sure why would someone change to this?

Love the idea. Very much in line with how google uses it for their products like sheets.new / docs.new / etc. After testing it for a few minutes I realise that I definitely wont remember all the links I created. But, what if there would be a repository of links for all of those apps by default. For example, I know I would remember a link like my.new/gmail/new (or even like pull up user's gmail...
