What's great
I switched to Arc because of its fresh take on what a browser should be. It's the first browser in a long time that doesn't feel like a dull utility, but like a well-thought-out and beautiful product. From the smooth animations to the convenient command bar that replaces both the address bar and tab search - it's just a pleasure to use. The concept of vertical tabs on the side seemed unusual at first, but after just a day, I realized how much more logical it is for modern widescreen monitors
What needs improvement
The mobile app still lags far behind the desktop version. It functions more like a companion for saving links rather than a full-fledged browser
vs Alternatives
I chose Arc because it offered solutions to problems I didn't even realize I had with Chrome. Features like Spaces for separating contexts (work/personal), automatic tab cleanup, and the smart command bar fundamentally change the workflow. Essentially, it took the best parts of the Chromium engine (speed and extension compatibility) and wrapped them in a brilliant productivity-focused interface
