
I never thought a licensed European bank could behave like this. N26 blocked my account on 10 May 2025 without warning, without explanation, and with no access to my own money. All I’ve received since then are vague, copy-paste replies about “technical reviews.”
No fraud. No investigation. No response. Just silence while they hold my funds hostage.
I’ve:
• Sent legal notices demanding a reason for the freeze
• Requested all my personal data under GDPR
• Filed formal complaints with BaFin and the European Consumer Centre (ECC)
Weeks later—still nothing. No answers. No timeline. No accountability.
This is not just bad service—this is financial abuse. N26 is acting like an unregulated, offshore scam, not a legitimate EU bank. If I hadn’t reported them to authorities, I honestly believe they’d just keep my money forever.
Avoid this bank at all costs. You could wake up tomorrow locked out of your own account—just like I did.
