I run a small Android reminders app. For months the monthly plan had zero sales and I assumed nobody wanted to subscribe. Turns out Play Console converts each product's price to local currency on its own and never compares them against each other.

Got my AdMob monthly report. Revenue up 42% from the previous month. Nice.

Then I looked at what drove it. Impressions were flat, down 0.1%. Clicks were up 116%.

So the revenue didn't come from more traffic. It came from people clicking a lot more. 9,361 impressions, 834 clicks. That's an 8.9% click-through rate.

Got a one-star review this morning. The whole thing was one line: no 12-hour option, only 24-hour, uninstalled.

He was right. My reminders app shows times in 24-hour format and never checks what the user's phone is set to. I'm from Uruguay. Here everyone uses 24-hour. It genuinely never crossed my mind that it could be a problem.
