Are resumes still the best way to evaluate tech talent?

I've been building HireHoo around a problem I've experienced firsthand as a recent graduate: navigating the tech job market can be confusing, and it's difficult to stand out beyond your resume.

But there's another side to this. Recruiters also need better ways to identify candidates who actually have the skills a role requires.

It got me thinking: what if candidates could demonstrate their skills through structured assessments and interviews, rather than relying so heavily on resumes?

That's one of the ideas we're exploring with HireHoo, a platform we're building for both candidates and recruiters.
