I was so excited by this app that I nearly bought a subscription within 10 minutes of fiddling around, something I never do. But then I decided to test the import of my existing bookmarks (Raindrop HTML in to Chrome) and the app crashed both times I tried. As soon as I ticked the box next to a bookmark, it froze. Using Chrome on Chrome OS.

I enjoyed using PackPack for a couple months (generous free plan, unlike all the other similar apps — MyMind, I'm looking at you) but ended up deleting it when the AI refused to provide a summary of a perfectly innocent image of two twenty-something young men kissing. Lightly, not even making out. I just thought it was sweet, but ChatGPT declared it wasn't "comfortable" summarizing the content....

Well, I recorded my first note. In English. And it produced the note in Portuguese, which I can kinda sorta read, but obviously that's not the language I recorded in.

BlueSky deletes posts that do not conform to a narrow, sectarian-leftist conception of politics and ideology, indulging safetyism, gender self-ID, and affirmation, ideas which not all trans people share. None of my adult trans friends do, for instance. I shared an article about sexual dimorphism in humans written by an evolutionary biologist, with no mention of trans people at all, and it was...

Great idea and it's wicked fast, even on my middlin' machine. But the default keyboard shortcut is Alt+F, which is already mapped to Chrome's menu.

Second Brain is an astoundingly powerful and complete solution for my small business, allowing those of us who look at Notion and wonder, How do I do that? Instead, we can quickly get up and running productively. Thanks for all the attention to detail.

Anyone who has struggled with daily journaling as I have should try this app out immediately. I haven't had a perfect streak since I started using it, but it's a lot better than before. One could literally write all day back and forth with Rosebud. Not quite life-changing, but certainly habit-changing.

Bento is a far superior link-in-bio. I mean, really, all those others look exactly the same. Pleasant visual feedback, too.

I just came back from a compulsory sojourn in the wilderness with the oddly and oh-so-corporately deigned Zoom. Such a relief to get back to the smoothness and natural fun of Butter. My students prefer it too.

On one hand, I can count the apps I'm grateful for and feel empowered by. Readwise has been on that list for years, and now Reader joins its sibling.

Well, I love the concept, but, after my first unfollow, I keep getting warnings that I'm unfollowing too quickly.

Love the UI and so far I've gotten relevant results for most searches…except for when I searched for myself and my location. haha It's not like I'm famous or anything (not like Ricky Powell, for instance) but Google found my flickr, YouPic, Linkedin, and Insta accounts with no problem. Well, I installed the browser extension on my Mac, scanned the code provided on my Android phone (yes it happens), went to a website where I was instructed to click to join the beta, and then was redirected to Google Play store. However, I couldn't install the app but got this error message: "Removing your account from the beta test program. You may want to uninstall the beta test version and...

I have $90 balance that will not payout. $15 of this has been pending since September 2018. 6 MONTHS. Support could not resolve this and now refuses to respond to my tickets. Pros: Coffeelinks are easy to set up and you can offer various rewards easily. Cons: Can't get paid. Unresponsive support.
