Long-time Windows user here. I lived by "Everything" by voidtools, instant file search, always accurate.

When I switched to Mac, Finder search was a nightmare. Slow, misses files on external drives, completely broken over SMB shares. So I built Finda , a native Mac app for fast, local file search.
