I decided to pursue this idea because travel has always been immensely important to me, and I am particularly passionate about sharing its benefits with others. This motivated me to create my travel blog, The Adventure Beckons, over seven years ago (www.theadventurebeckons.com). I believe that this product concept draws on my expertise in travel writing and my experience building consumer marketplaces. As a product manager, I have worked in two-sided marketplaces for nearly a decade in diverse fields such as ecommerce, healthcare, and real estate in Silicon Valley. Thus, I possess a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and the subtleties of marketplace development.
