Recent reports of tap water contamination in cities like Indore and Delhi in India are alarming with hospitalisations and deaths reported. These problems are often hyper-local and remain invisible until they escalate into a crisis. I built Citizen Signal: a non-commerce citizen-led platform for residents of India to anonymously report how municipal tap water looks and smells, before treatment. Individual reports are subjective, but aggregated patterns create public visibility and accountability
