I've been using Obsidian for daily notes, but opening the full app every time I want to check my todo list or jot something down started to feel like too much friction. So I made Daily: a lightweight app that points to my existing notes directory and opens my daily markdown note instantly for quick viewing and editing. It works with your existing files, stays out of the way, and is free and open source.
