I built Axiom after repeatedly struggling to digitize my own handwritten STEM notes. The frustrating part wasn’t OCR accuracy — it was structure. Math becomes unreadable when alignment breaks and derivations collapse. Most of the engineering effort ended up going into post-processing, block detection, and pagination stability rather than the OCR layer itself. Still improving diagram handling...

AxiomStructural OCR for handwritten math & science
Axiom converts handwritten math, physics, chemistry, and engineering notes into clean, structured LaTeX or Markdown. Unlike generic OCR tools that break alignment and collapse derivations, Axiom preserves mathematical structure — including aligned equations, multi-step solutions, tables, and numbered problems. Export compile-ready LaTeX, Markdown, or searchable PDF directly in the browser.
