We are surrounded by instant gratification and stimuli - rewarding us for spending, gambling, and losing our money. We wonder why we are in over $1 trillion of credit card debt and the savings rate is the lowest it's ever been, when it's clear. The incentives are all wrong. We built Debbie because we believe people are capable of defining their own destiny, if the incentives allow them to.
