Roberto C. Alemán is a Venezuelan computer engineer with over 20 years of experience. He is best known for his work at phpclasses.org, where he has won the PHP Innovation Award multiple times since 2009, achieving the highest score in 2025. His research focuses on search and security algorithms, notably Logical Entropy Cypher v1.0, an improvement over AES-256-GCM, and the Ultimate-Cipher RA analyzer. He also develops AI tools (phpicsla) and anomaly detection tools (RA-Anomaly-detector-GMM). He is the creator of the PON-DB engine, based on a data-centric philosophy and zero-dba/trust principles. His technology uses the .pon format as its core, optimizing processes through the PON-DB Engine protocol and its respective interpreter, PON-Reader.
