HydraDB is a graph database built on object storage, written in Rust, for AI that needs context fast, state that persists, and costs that stay low. Our goal: support agent memory, company brain, and ontologies for AI-native teams. Most agents today run on vectorDBs: embed something, retrieve the closest chunks, hand it to the model. But similarity isn't relevance, and a chunk in isolation doesn't help an agent finish work, it just raises more questions. Real context is a doc connected to your emails, messages, and ten other documents, so the agent decides how much it needs. That's a brain: relationships, dependencies, sequences, decisions, facts that got superseded. An intelligent graph, not a pile of chunks.
