What parts of eCommerce will AI actually replace?

We've seen AI move from answering questions to taking actions. In eCommerce, that could mean much more than generating product descriptions or customer support replies.

I'm wondering how far this can realistically go.

Could an AI eventually decide which products to promote, adjust pricing based on demand, manage inventory, create campaigns, and optimize the store continuously?

And if that happens, what is left for the eCommerce team to do?
