Pierre Mortemousque, originally from the scenic French town of Tonneins, embarked on an international journey at eighteen, attending Parrott Academy in North Carolina as a foreign exchange student. He continued his academic pursuits at Elon University, earning a degree in Business Administration. He began his professional life in France, significantly contributing to the expansion of Sofrace's operations in the Middle East. Following his marriage, he moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, transitioning from a career in international business to education. He taught French and Spanish at Virginia Episcopal School.
