Pianpian Guthrie received her Master's Degrees in sociology from Yale University with a thesis on social mobility and psychological well-being. She was a teaching and research fellow in social science at Yale and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She led product management and growth at multiple tech companies such as GoDaddy and Ticketmaster before founding Amotions, Inc, a startup to help improve managers’ and teams' performance and information sharing with AI-powered coaching and upskilling. Silicon Valley-based Pianpian is originally from rural China. She studied and lived in China and Japan. She performed and competed in Chinese folk dance and ballroom dance.
