Born in Ukraine, Petro Richard Kostiv immigrated to the United States at eighteen, an experience that shaped his resilience and deep empathy for others, as he began anew. Adjusting to a different culture during such pivotal years gave him a personal understanding of the immigrant journey, which later became the cornerstone of his legal career. Having traveled to more than 150 countries, Petro has gained rare firsthand knowledge of international laws, economies, and customs that inform his global approach to legal practice. He is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Ukrainian, can read German, and holds conversational proficiency in Mandarin. Petro earned his B.A. in history with honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
