As old-school as it is, I have started to use email newsletters to do this more and more. I have used Twitter in the past, but it's become noisy and less directly on the trend of tech news. Then in more of a "lagging commentary on tech news," I listen to podcasts.

there was a great email app called "Mailbox" that I think dropbox bought and then shut down. I'd brig that back.

Lots of things that fall under the "you won't know what you are doing, and that is ok" umbrella of advice. Then also, "don't do it alone if you don't have to". Doing it with co-founders makes it so much more fun and rewarding. You can lean on each other for the things you are good at individually and they can help you stay positive through the down times (which will undoubtedly be a thing)....
