I’m a first-time founder who never planned to build an app. But I had a problem: I was constantly distracted, stuck in my head, and it was hurting my happiness—and my relationships. When I got overwhelmed, I’d shut down emotionally and withdraw from the people I cared about. I knew mindfulness could help, but long meditations didn’t fit into my day. So I created Panda Presence—a simple, science-backed mindfulness app built around micro-meditations. I hired a developer, tested early versions with real users, and after a year and a half (and lots of personal growth), version 2.0 is finally here. Since using it myself, I’m more present, patient, and content—and that’s been life-changing. I’m not a coder or an “app guy,” but I deeply believe in what I built.
