I was building a global app and hit the 8KB limit on Vercel's Edge Config almost immediately. When I looked for alternatives, I found a gap: you either get 'Serverless' tools with tiny storage limits and cold starts, or you have to manage a massive global Redis cluster yourself. There was no 'middle ground'—a simple, high-performance backbone that just works without the 'Hobby Tier' handcuffs.
