The pcWRT router is a great way to bypass China's GFW! I travel to China regularly for business and need a reliable VPN to bypass the GFW. I've used multiple VPNs but all of them fail at some point.
I did extensive research and found the pcWRT router, with which I can set up my own VPN server at home in the US. The setup was pretty straightforward because the router also has built-in Dynamic DNS support. To be on the safe side, I actually set up three VPN servers, one for each protocol supported by the router. Just in case one protocol fails, I can try the other two protocols. But so far I only needed to use the WireGuard connection.
I highly recommend this router for anyone who needs a way to get around the GFW.
