I picked "Maker Mindset" topic on purpose :) I carefully review most of the products that I like and comment on here for vulnerabilities or security flaws and the result is not good. Yesterday I discovered a big problem in one of the products for example allowing attackers to exploit it. (I have notified the makers of course) So my question is - as a maker - do you think about security at all when you design and implement your idea? Is this one of your checkpoint items as good UX, nice design, value, etc?
I received multiple recommendations for AI Ethics by Mark Coeckelberg and Robot Ethics 2.0 by Patrick Lin!
Do you have any other book suggestions on the topic "Ethics and AI"?
Hi PH-ers Please, share your thought on the following: when it comes to choosing a graphic design service, what system do you prefer - pay-per-project or unlimited service with the monthly subscription? And why? Will appreciate all the ideas
Hi makers! As we are approaching the launch, I am busy planning out how do we work with beta users first. I thought it would be nice to make a chat for people participating in beta so we can quickly respond and also people can connect with each other (maybe it can be the starting point of our community, who knows). Right now I have two options at hand: Slack and Discord. Seems like everyone has Slack installed, but it is heavily associated with work. Looks like Discord is a more friendly, but I'm not sure if our audience uses it that much. What do you guys think? Does anyone have experience of setting up a chat for beta users?
I'm working in the tech for 12+years, mostly remote and being productive has always been an issue. From my experience what works the most is: - Define precisely my tasks, and keep it as small as possible (1h max)
- Work with 100% on this tasks
- Take regular breaks - and stop working after 4/5hrs of deep focus
- Sleep and eat well I keep all tasks in a bullet journal, it's not perfect but I haven't found a better way to do it.
(I'm building in public one product to solve this right now. Not sure how efficient it will be ) What about you? What worked for you? How about
Granted, we're a community of folks across timezones around the world, but I've always been curious: When do most of us swing by Product Hunt? Is PH part of a daily habit? Do you just leave it open in a tab and check it throughout the day? Thanks for taking a moment to respond. And if one of the responses doesn't match your use case, please let folks know about your PH habit in the comments. EXTRA CREDIT: In addition to sharing when you visit PH, feel free to share your timezone/GMT offset in the comments.
Hey Pablo from SigmaOS. We are a new browser that had a great launch in August. Was just looking to understand what the Product Hunt crowd s most used browser is and why
Failure is not a disgrace. Losing hope after you fail is a disgrace. Everyone has to face it at least once in his life. Do you have any experience of yours to share?
We are currently developing a new community that will connect all digital nomads and remote workers around the world. (Free sign up)
It's a place where you can find like-minded people, ask questions, share experiences, learn, and discuss remote work.
