Demo video => https://youtu.be/pF5q-fJ8MYc I built this Roku screensaver as an experiment to: 1. Explore Roku's OTT developer platform 2. See how fast the app would grow organically, considering the platform's limited marketing opportunities (and hit driven nature) 3. Understand how people are using their OTT devices 4. Turn that "What should I watch?!" indecision time into something useful 5....

You can't post links on Instagram unless you're verified or have a business profile with over 10,000 followers. And even then, every link is a road block on the way to conversion. Writers, bloggers, and content marketers are at a disadvantage on social media, because these platforms prioritize video and advertisements. Hi PH! So here's the deal. I built this because about a year ago, I met an amazing girl and now she's Bae. And although we talk a lot, (via snaps, bitmoji, imsg, gchat, email - the works), we still find ourselves in analysis paralysis when date night roles around. Should we go out? Stay in? What would we even cook? Is there anything good on TV tonight? And sometimes we're in her neighborhood...

BaeLifeYour personal date night planner, powered by Foursquare
BaeLife is a webapp & daily newsletter full of ideas on what to cook, what to watch, where to go out, and what to talk about.
It pulls in data from a ton of sources like Foursquare, Rotten Tomatoes, Food52, Spotify, Vox, and more.
The goal is to spend more time enjoying date night, rather than plan it.

I dig Alexa's Flash Briefing and I've been making hella skills for it. The thing is, it's missing a key feature: the current time. I don't own clocks or wear a watch, but I do call up my briefing 2-3 times a day. What's weird is that, if you ask Alexa "what's up?" she'll give you the current time, the weather, your next calendar appointment, and some random news. It's a way better invocation...

Current time for Flash Briefing is an Alexa skill that puts the current US time in your Flash Briefing. Don't know why it's not in there by default, so I added it :)

I made this to scratch an itch & experiment with Alexa as a distribution platform. Basically, it's a Flask app that creates audio Flash Briefings for Alexa by doing 2 things: 1. Allowing you to call in and record audio clips, saving them to s3 using date-based filename. (you can email them in too.) 2. Generating a dynamic Alexa Flash Briefing JSON feed based on the current date. Add this skill...

Breaking into the entertainment biz is tough & so is putting together a crew on short notice. That's why Cinematcher is so great. It's a dual sided marketplace for talent - with filtering/matching/communication/etc. I met founder, Lauren Magura, a while ago and she's got some really great vision for this -- she's already got buy-in with tons of studios & production companies. #CrewGoals!
