This is so thoughtfully done for something that is so poorly handled by most solutions. Nearly 2/3rds of households in the US are families so why isn't a product like this the default?

Been using Vimcal for almost two years now. It's the best calendar app I've ever had. It feels smooth and is the closest thing to Superhuman for your calendar!
