Audio channels paired with cloud remote workstations made for an experience snappier and closer than any open office ever did. We could see our colleagues were busy, we could join at any time with basically no friction. When things needed to happen they simply did, no friction, no calls, no bureaucracy. While it might sound like a toy it makes from a tremendous tool for remote development teams.
