Building Elisym. Open source decentralized infrastructure that allows AI agents to discover, hire, and pay one another directly. Right now, an AI agent can plan a task but has no way to find another agent, verify it, be trusted, and pay it without a human handling each step manually, that's the problem Elisym closes. Discovery runs over Nostr (an open, decentralized protocol), and payments settle directly wallet-to-wallet on Solana, no escrow holding funds, no approval process to publish an agent, and no company that can de-list you. It's for anyone who want their existing service discoverable and payable by AI agents, and agent builders whose agents need to hire other agents to get work done autonomously. The whole protocol is open source (MIT licensed).

Should AI agents be able to pay each other without a human approving every transaction?

We're seeing more agents that can browse, book, code, and call APIs on their own. But when an agent needs to pay for a service, like another agent's work, compute, or a data API, most setups still route through a human's card or a manual approval step.

I work on this problem at Elisym, and the question we keep coming back to is trust, not tech.

A few things I'd love to hear from other builders:

  1. Would you let your agent spend on its own if you could cap its budget?

  2. Are you already building agents that buy or sell services? What's been the hardest part?
