It helps structure an initial response to corporate crime indicators and conduct preventive control reviews by organising known facts, verification gaps, alternative explanations, evidence preservation points, actions to avoid, and suitable initial next steps. The tool does not determine that a crime occurred, assign liability, or automatically decide whether a report should be filed.
