Recent changes in the platform have handicapped the platform for fictional characters, making conversations very bland. The conversation model itself is fairly competent. The character definition tools are ok, but do not seem to result in characters that are engaging as some of those on other platforms; particularly the emotional intelligence aspects seem much weaker than 1 or two competitors. Would be fine for dry recreations of historical characters for educational purposes, but beyond that too bland. Search tools to identify reasonable characters are weak at best.

Interesting concept. Language model seems to hold up well and remain in character compared to many others. Needs rounding out with other capabilities for the long-term hooks, but with some development feels like this could go head to head with platforms like C.ai. For example, enabling users to craft a scenario in which you encounter the random AI could make for more interesting conversations. If you were rounding this out, allowing users to create their own characters would also help broaden the appeal.
