I ve been helping a few friends update their resumes recently, and I kept noticing the same patterns again and again.
Most of them weren t getting interviews, and it wasn t because they lacked experience.
The common issues I saw:
Resumes not optimized for ATS
Overly designed templates that look nice but are hard to scan
Missing keywords from the actual job description
Describing responsibilities instead of achievements
