Back in the Kinsights days, we helped sponsor the original version, and even found it to be a valuable tool for onboarding non- and semi-technical members of the team, like PMs or interns. It was useful and well-written enough that our devs were eager to pick up a copy of Tracy's Hello Web Design and level up their design understanding. In a Python 3 and Django 2 world, it's great to see this...

I'm a big fan of the book, and this is a pretty great and useful start, but I think the UI could still use some simplification to really reflect the philosophy it represents. If the UI on the calculator/ratio screen were more tailored to an at-a-glance view while I'm in the kitchen, ham-fistedly (get it – ham?) trying to get a quick reference, it'd be a big improvement for me and make it a more...

Agreed. "Drunk email yourself" is an awesome tag. The story here, and that tag, really cemented its purpose for me.

SlapshotNever forget anything. Quickly email yourself in the future.

Well thanks @thetylerhayes. I started working on this well before having kids, but now that I have a three month-old boy, Kinsights has become indispensable to me. We've got some super-awesome stuff coming around the corner, too, so watch this space.

Very cool, and potentially very useful from the bleary-eyed new parent perspective. I'd like to see if there's any scientific validation to their claims, and I'm somewhat skeptical of the quality of light & temperature, since my existing experience of LED bulbs has less than awesome.
