Kickstarter is over, so I wanted to leave one last note here about Mira75.

It didn t perform the way we hoped, and I won t pretend otherwise.

We spent a lot of time on this keyboard and probably got a little too close to the product while building it. When you work on something every day, it s easy to feel like every feature makes sense. Once you put it in front of real people, you get a very different answer.

That part was useful.

We're about halfway through the Mira75 crowdfunding campaign now and the response so far is honestly a bit lower than we expected. We've been working on this keyboard for quite a while, especially the wide screen, because we thought having shortcuts, controls, widgets and other stuff right above the keyboard could actually be useful. But seeing the response now, I'm starting to wonder if maybe we just like this idea more than most people do. Maybe people don't really want another screen on their desk, or maybe we haven't found a good enough reason for it to be there yet.

So I'm curious if you saw Mira75 and decided not to buy it, what was the reason? I'm actually more interested in that than hearing that it looks cool. Trying to understand whether we should improve the idea, explain it differently, or if this kind of keyboard is just a pretty small niche.
