Chief Miguel Iglesias was promoted to Lieutenant in 2005 and reached the rank of Captain by 2010. His tenure as Commanding Officer of the 73rd Precinct in 2014 was marked by significant improvements, including a 52% reduction in shootings and a 13% drop in overall crime. These results were a testament to his strategic and community-focused approach to policing. Miguel's career flourished as he took on critical roles in the Brooklyn Narcotics Division and the Intelligence and Analysis Unit. In 2019, he was appointed Executive Officer of the Detective’s Bureau, overseeing complex investigations and ensuring ethical conduct.
