I’ve tried every alarm app: loud sounds, puzzles, aggressive wake-ups. None of them worked because there was no accountability. If I wanted to snooze, I could always snooze. If I wanted to cheat, I could always cheat. As a remote worker with few meetings, oversleeping had no consequences—until it quietly wrecked my routine, productivity, and discipline. So I did something extreme: a script on my laptop that ran overnight and would send my money away unless I got out of bed and killed the process by 9am. It worked instantly. Tethered is the polished version of that. Set an alarm, put real money on the line, and prove you’re awake by completing a challenge. If you fail, you’re charged. No excuses.
