Mera Peak climbing in Nepal

About

Mera Peak (6,470 m) is located just to towards the southwest of Everest and is the highest point in the west atershed, which is dominated by the densely forested valleys of Hinku as well as the Hongu Drangkas. J.O.M. Roberts along with Sen Tenzing made the first successful ascent of Mera Peak on the 20th of May 1953. The route they took remains the preferred route. There are many alternative routes that lead to the summit, however none of them is simple. Some require the crossing of extremely difficult and high passes. This is a real climbing experience. At the end of the day, all effort and work rewarded with stunning views as Mera offers one of the most beautiful views in Nepal.
