Matdags is an app for reducing household food waste. It tracks food inventory and consumption, then uses that data for expiration reminders and AI generated recipes. Users scan items, receipts, or barcodes. Products are stored in a digital pantry with expiration dates. The system sends notifications before food expires and generates recipes based on what is already available at home. This makes food inventory visible and usable at the right time. We focus on food waste at the individual household level. By turning consumption into measurable signals, the goal is to reduce unnecessary purchases, prevent food from expiring, and simplify everyday meal planning. Our ambition is to treat food waste as a measurable data problem that can be reduced through better feedback loops.
