Hi I'm Lauren — solo founder of The NextOfKin App. I built it after watching people I care about spend far too long reconstructing a life that was never written down: accounts nobody knew existed, a phone no one could unlock, subscriptions still charging. None of it was hidden. It just lived in one person's head. That turned out to be the whole problem — and a smaller one than it feels. You already know where everything is. It's just never been in one place anyone could point to. The NextOfKin App doesn't ask you to sit down and "do your estate planning." It asks one small thing at a time and a plan takes shape around your answers. You name the people you trust, and if you ever go quiet, someone can be asked to check on you.

What was or is the hardest part of dealing with digital accounts during or after someone has passed?

Question for anyone who has lost someone or is currently a caregiver.
