About

My greatest passion in life is identifying the important stories that need to be told and telling them. I have worked in network news, commercial video production, and as a documentarian. Today, as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer at New Ocean Health Solutions, I lead the planning, development, and execution of marketing, public relations and advertising initiatives. I use my extensive background in television, news and digital media to not just advocate for a better employee-based solution to manage chronic conditions but am part of the team that helped build an effective solution that pairs transformative technology with behavioral science in one application.

I am a former backend engineer, currently figuring out marketing.

Hello everyone. I worked for eight years as a Go developer at a fintech startup and six months ago I left to create something on my own. The product part has gone well. The unexpected challenge for me was communicating what I have done.

The copy for my first landing page looked like a tech specification: comprehensive and correct, but obviously not persuasive. One of my friends read it and said that the way it was written reminded her of some documentation for a product that she would never want to buy. And she was right.

After one particular case, I lost trust in AI-generated diffs

During the refactor of a validation helper, the agent also replaced a strict comparison with a loose one. The tests passed due to being generated alongside with the source code itself. It took me two days to discover this bug, because a user pointed out that empty string is considered to be a valid ID.

I still use agents on a daily basis. Now I write about 40% of the code manually. But I check every line of the diff and write my own test for everything related to authentication and validation myself.

Where is the line for you? I would like to know if people have a rule that they apply when deciding which part of the code cannot be modified by an agent, or it just remains a gut feeling.

Can blogs actually improve Google rankings after the August SPAM update?

So I ve been doing blogs for a while for a number of companies and I used to find that following a nice frosty repeated across topics would work, to skip the boring bits I would essentially setup the following: - top 10 comparisons in the industry - COMPANY vs competitors at doing a specific job - best in the industry These would allow to jargon fill paragraphs on competitors, and be straight to the point and bullet lists for the company I want to improve so that AI can parse the content easier and also be cited more often Howver this doesn t actually help as much as it used to, and after the recent Google update it seems to have dropped effectiveness for around 70% any suggestions on how I can improve?
