Mark Balch is an experienced high school administrator with 29 years in education and 23 dedicated to leadership roles. His career spans both school site and district levels, where he has focused on enhancing student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional development through community involvement and instructional changes. In 2023, Mark took on the role of Director of New Teacher and Migrant Support in the Kern High School District (KHSD) in Bakersfield, California, which is the state’s largest K-12 district, serving more than 43,000 students. Mark G. Balch, Ed.D., holds a doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne.
